Hey my lovelies!
I have been so bad with blogging. I tend to do more videos than typing here but think it is about time I did some rambling over here for some of the things that don't really need a whole video.
For example I cannot believe that I just realised today that my balmi lip balm has an opening in the bottom. I cannot believe I didn't realise that you could get in to it from the underneath. I was just minding my own business and peeling off the label from underneath and was pulling on the wee cord that hangs from it and it popped off. I got quite excited... What does that say about me if the things that excites me on a Friday evening is finding out that there another way in to my lip balm lol... I think it is the fact that once it kind of goes flat its hard to get the product out, and I nearly threw one out because I thought it was nearly empty, but now that I know I can get in to it from underneath I realise just how much product is still there.
I absolutely love my balmi Lip balms.. They are so moisturising and my lips get so dried out at the best of times, but wow in winter do they really get all dried and cracked and sore. So I am constantly using a lip balm. I have tried so many different kinds and I am very particular about the texture of the balm I use and also flavours etc. I have quite a few different kinds of lip balms at the moment and my favourites are my Balmi's, and also my Smooch Operator from Soap n Glory.
I have three Balmi, but my current 'flavour' of choice is mint. It is very cooling and soothing, which is lovely, especially as right now I am struggling to keep my lips moisturised, so this one is lovely.
I am always trying new options of lip balms when my current ones are nearing their finish. I like vaseline however I find the tins are not really convenient for me, as I like to be able to use my lip treatments while out as well and don't really like to have to put my fingers in tubs while out. Not exactly the most hygienic form of lip balm. So I tend to keep this type at home. That is why I like the Balmi type as it comes in a very sturdy container but you apply it directly to your lips. I have always liked the chap stick or lypsl lip balms because they are hygienic and easy stored because of them being stick form. I thought that I would really like the Baby Lips from Maybelline but I really don't like the formula of these, I don't find them soothing and moisturising, just sort of tacky. I love the Lip Smackers Lip Balms because they have really fun flavours like Grape, to be honest I pretty much love anything that is Grape lol.
I have a two step system for my lips, I use a scrub to take away the dried skin and then use the lip balm to add the moisture back in. I love my Lush Lip Scrub in Popcorn and my Fm Sugar Scrub.
Phew anyway I have really babbled here about lip balms. What is your favourite types of Lip Balm? What do you use to keep your lips conditioned in this harsh weather.
