I hope you are so well. I decided that rather than write loads and talk loads over on my youtube video for this collab I would actually go in to detail about it here and tell you about how I came up with the look that I did.
So to start with here is what it came out like.....
So anyway. I really have need done a video like this before and was not even sure where to start, so when Nikki and I had first talked about a collab and she said what about a make up look I was terrified lol. Buuuuut I manned up and thought well you know what even if it sucks, it will be good craic and I will learn a thing or two lol. Mainly that I am crap lol. But I started looking at different pics and trying to decide what kind of look to go for. I was going to do the make up on myself, but I really wanted to be able to just step back and think about what I was doing so I decided that I would do it on Lynne instead. Isn't she just the mutts nuts for being so amazing and letting me put her through this!!
So anyway, I grabbed my big 120 eyeshadow palette that I bought from ebay. Everyone and his dog has a palette like it and then my glitter gel shadows I got last year at the market...
Soooooo I started with using an eye primer, then put on the NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk to help make the colours pop. Then went in with a bright yellow and just put that all over the eye, then put a greeny blue in the crease and winged it out. Then I added some purple in also. I eventually added in a dark magenta colour from the gel shadows on the eyelid. That was more to the end. I used Maybelline The Rocket mascara. I was going to put false lashes on but I couldn't find any good ones. Even though I know I have some good ones. I could only find silly ones from china which are so huge they just weighed Lynnes eyes down and lifted of her eyes really quickly.
For the base I used a primer that I have only just opened, it was given to me in a swap I did with the lovely Elle from Youtube (I will link her below, go check her out, she just had the most gorgeous baba) Anyway it is called Fashion Secret Flawless Primer by Fashionista. It is a lovely silicone based primer that gives a gorgeous base. I also used my Advanced Skin Foundation in Alabaster and Ginger Cake both by Federico Mahora or FM Cosmetics.
Once I had the base done I went on to create the greenish blue skin look around the perimeters of her face using the green and blue from my gel palette and a sponge to apply. It was a scouring pad sponge for the kitchen but worked so well lol. It applied the effect just as I had wanted.
I used one of the dark purply pinks from my big palette as a blusher and blended it up in to the green at the edges and then added raspberry ripple lipstick from Fm and then put a little purple gel shadow on the top to really make it pop.
Phew thats a lot of rambling about products lol. I really enjoyed this look. Although I do think she looks more like Greta from Gremlins!!!
Lol oooopsies. Shhh don't tell her I said anything
Anyway my darlings. I hope you enjoyed this and the video. Which if you haven't seen pop over and watch it and don't forget to watch Nikki's video as well. Of course hers looks awesome, but in my defence she's done a lot of crazy looks lol. Click here for video.
Anyway honeys that is it from me. I will see you all soon. xxxx
Lots of love and snuggles
Lynds, xxxxx
